AmCham Scholarship 2008

In partnership with Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), AmCham will grant scholarships to 26 top students of VNU-HCM including: University of Technology, University of Natural Sciences, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Faculty of Economics and Law, University of Information and Technology and International University.Deadline to submit the Application Form is Saturday, 11 Oct 2008. The AmCham Scholars will be:

  • Recognized by over 400 AmCham member and associate companies
  • Provided with credits for job application purposes after graduation and other related purposes (e.g. summer job, internship, further scholarship, etc.)
  • Invited to some AmCham functions
  • Entitled to join AmCham Scholar Alumni Club
  • Provided with financial support (US$ 500/scholarship)

Who can apply?

  • Final year students of Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM); in official full-time scheme
  • With average GPA of all previous years 7.0 or above (click this link for an explanation)
  • Active participation in school/social/community service activities
  • Able to communicate in English

Intel Vietnam Scholars Program Application Deadline: Jan 15, 2009

Portland State University (PSU) and Intel Products Vietnam are pleased to announce the Intel Vietnam Study Abroad Program for study at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. Recipients of this scholarship will be called Intel Vietnam Scholars.

This program is two-fold: an excellent education at Portland State University and an engineering career with Intel in Vietnam. Intel will sponsor up to 40 Vietnamese engineering students from select universities, currently in their third year, to complete their Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at Portland State University. The program starts in July, 2009, with an intensive academic and living orientation in Portland, Oregon. In September, 2009, Intel Vietnam Scholars will begin the first of two years of academic study at PSU. Upon graduation in June, 2011, Intel Vietnam Scholars will return to Vietnam to begin engineering careers with Intel in Ho Chi Minh City.

This Scholarship covers tuition, room & board, fees, books and miscellaneous expenses for two years of academic study and also for the summer 2009 intensive program. Scholars are responsible for their own round-trip travel to and from Portland, Oregon.

The GE Foundation, the philanthropic organization of the General Electric Company, is pleased to announce the GE Foundation Scholars-Leaders Program in Vietnam. A US$ 1,150 per year scholarship for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years of your undergraduate program. The program is administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE) on behalf of the Foundation.
