Events AmCham events offer many networking events. From casual networking sessions to government events and visiting trade and investment missions, there are ample opportunities to make valuable business contacts with government officials, industry leaders, professionals, and business partners by participating in AmCham business and social activities. Even the busiest executives can find ways to expand their networks.

Online Membership Directory The online directory offers a comprehensive listing of AmCham companies and representatives, as well as industry listings and other business resource listings. Members and visitors worldwide (many from the U.S.) refer to the online directory for business contacts. AmCham companies receive a free listing for two office locations in Vietnam, and one office listing outside of Vietnam (USA, etc.).

Networking Online: Announcements on the AmCham Web Site Every month, over 250,000+ visitors, 375,000+ page-views, and nearly 1,000,000 impressions of sponsors’ announcements are recorded on our web site. It’s a great place for business networking, the online hub of about 1,000 representatives of nearly 500 companies (including both expatriate and local managers in HCM City). It is also a key resource for non-members in the USA with interests in business in Vietnam, who are looking for information about products and services from Vietnam.

Weekly Update Emails Keep up to date with news about AmCham, business news about AmCham companies, upcoming events and key news items concerning trade and investment.

Announcements in AmCham’s Weekly Update emails Every Monday, AmCham’s Weekly Update email goes out to about 1,000 representatives of nearly 500 AmCham companies, plus over 2,500 additional subscribers in Vietnam, Asia-Pacific countries, and the USA. It is also re-sent to AmCham’s 2,000+ twitter followers, nearly 2,000 facebook fans, and 500+ LinkedIn connections. We welcome announcements that are of interest to members and associates and offer a service to include such announcements in the Weekly Update email. Conditions are similar to those for Networking Online announcements. AmCham companies receive three free announcements in AmCham’s Weekly Update emails per year.

Event Management Service In addition to promotion support through Networking Online and Announcements in AmCham’s Weekly Update emails, the AmCham Event Team will organize your informational/presentation event, include an event description on the AmCham web site Events & Meetings (see also “Upcoming Events & Meetings” box on right hand margin of this page), and brief summary in the Weekly Update Emails (which is also sent to AmCham’s twitter, facebook, and LinkedIn social networks as mentioned above). We manage the registrations, welcome guests at the event site, provide welcome/introduction remarks, and upload your promotional/informational presentation to the AmCham web site for additional outreach.

Membership Directory (print) The annual print directory offers a comprehensive listing of AmCham member companies, as well as industry listings and other business resource listings. Many members refer to the directory for business contacts. The directory is distributed annually to all AmCham members in Vietnam, senior US and Vietnamese government leaders, visiting business delegations, other AmChams in the region. Members may provide additional information about their companies, products, and services via advertisements in the Annual Membership Directory (print version).

Committees and Informal Groups for Networking, Information-sharing, Problem-solving AmCham provides a forum for discussing business issues of common interest. Members participate for networking, sharing information, and to prepare and submit recommendations on improving the business environment in the form of position papers and letters to senior Vietnamese and U.S. leaders.

Reciprocal Benefits Participate in events of the American Chambers in the region, represented by the Asia-Pacific Council of American Chambers of Commerce.

Service Providers: Meet New Companies coming to Vietnam We cooperate with local industry associations, and government/industry officials to help visiting and non-resident members interested in trade and investment with Vietnam, including exporting, importing, and investing. We introduce AmCham member firms that can help visitors understand the commercial and legal environment in Vietnam.   • “We are conducting research to locate potential manufacturers for our products, and to investigate the possibility of acquiring (or design build) a manufacturing facility in Vietnam.
