RMIT Vietnam is the Asian campus of Melbourne-based RMIT University, Australia's biggest tertiary institution. The largest offshore campus in the world, RMIT Vietnam assists in the development of human resources in Vietnam and the region by providing opportunities for students to belong to an international educational community that supports them to achieve their potential in an increasingly globalised world.
Established in 2001, RMIT is Vietnam’s first fully foreign-owned university. Starting with around 30 students, it now boasts a dynamic student body of approximately 5,500 in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Degrees are awarded by RMIT University in Australia, allowing Vietnamese students to receive an overseas education without leaving home. RMIT Vietnam also hosts students from Australia and many other countries. All degree programs are recognised by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and are subject to regulation by the Australian Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency.
RMIT Vietnam offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the business, technology and creative areas. Drawing on the expertise of its experienced academic staff, the university delivers corporate training and tailored English training programs to meet the needs of international and local companies, industry and government.
RMIT Vietnam has won many awards. These include the Business Excellence Award from the Australian Chamber of Commerce between 2003 and 2007, and the prestigious Vietnam Government-supported Golden Dragon Award eleven times since 2003.
