Speakers and Panelists:
Mr. Jonathan Moreno is the General Director of Medovations Vietnam Co., Ltd, a wholly-owned FDI subsidiary of one of the world’s leading medical device companies specializing in gastrointestinal diagnostic equipment. Sandhill opened its Vietnam manufacturing operation in Binh Duong, December 2010, representing the “third wave” of US high technology investment in Vietnam.
In 2012, Jonathan helped form AmCham’s first Manufacturing Committee and served as its Chairman from 2012-2014. The Committee was established to increase the value of AmCham membership for its manufacturing sector members, including the supporting supply chain, by providing networking opportunities and collaborative solutions which could not be achieved as effectively by individual member companies. The committee enjoyed a great start, with more than 40 AmCham manufacturing leaders having participated in its monthly meetings. Initiatives included a briefing on Intel’s eCustoms solution, and follow-up Dialogue Meetings with the General Department of Vietnam Customs, and a “Suppliers’ Day” for Manufacturing Committee members.
Mr. Sesto Vecchi has been a member of the Board of Governors since 2001, and served as Vice Chair in 2003. He manages the Vietnam practice group of the law firm of Russin & Vecchi. The firm is active in the practice of law in developing countries.
Sesto has lived and practiced law in Vietnam for over 25 years. He began coming to Vietnam in 1965 as a US Navy Lieutenant on special assignment. Upon his discharge from the Navy in 1966, he returned to Vietnam and opened Russin & Vecchi’s office. He practiced law in Vietnam until 1974. During that time he was twice President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.
In early 1993 he reopened the firm’s Vietnam offices and has lived continuously in Vietnam since that time. He graduated with a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and received his law degree from Temple Law School. He is a member of the bars of New York and Washington, DC.
Ms. Xuan Dang is Material Manager of Sparton Vietnam, providing design & manufacturing services globally. Xuan has over 10 years of experiences in purchasing & planning in manufacturing environment. Xuan has got the BA in Business Administration & is CPIM certified.
Mr. Pham Ngoc Binh Long has been a professional in manufacturing and supply chain management for more than fifteen years in Europe and Asia Pacific. He has been working as Industrialization engineer, Project manager, Plant General Manager then Logistics Director in electrical distribution and wiring devices.Back to Vietnam in 2005, he was nominated as Plant General Manager for Clipsal Vietnam Co. Ltd, member of Schneider Electric Group, then participated to the re-construction of the Company including transfer production, expansion markets and development of local competencies with a high focus on the suppliers network
Mr. Do Sy Toan has been Managing Director of MIDA Precision Mold Co., Ltd since 2009. He has 27-year working experience in industrial manufacturing sector.. He has brought MIDA to the TOP Mold makers & molders in Vietnam and achieved an annual growth rate of more than 25% in the past seven years.
He has Master degree of business administration (2005) & Bachelor of mechanical engineering (1988). His hobby is travelling.
Mr. Matt Greenfield is Director of East West Industries Vietnam, the wholly-owned manufacturing operations in Binh Duong, Vietnam of Atlanta, Georgia based East West Manufacturing. Matt has over a decade of experience in Asian manufacturing, starting in China before moving south to run operations in Vietnam since 2008. Matt is a native of Texas and received his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Texas.
Mr. Julien Brun is the Managing Partner of CEL Consulting, Vice President of French Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, and Co-founder of Vietnam Supply Chain
MSc in Aeronautic System engineering (Ecole Nationale des Arts et Metiers, Paris), Julien gathered experience and know-how in product development and supply chain optimization in the aeronautic (Airbus) and automotive industry (Peugeot Citroen, Rover group) in France, the UK and the Netherlands.
In Asia since 2005, Julien founded CEL Consulting with objective to develop the first supply chain consulting firm specialized in South East Asia and actively support the region industrial development. In multiple investment or improvement consulting projects he had delivered for Multinationals and local groups in Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Lao, Philippines, Malaysia, Julien constantly has strived to enable the match between strategic requirements and local constraints.
Julien also supported the creation or direction of business groups (Vietnam Supply Chain, French Chamber of Commerce, European Chamber of Commerce) and undertook knowledge transfer initiatives in the region with APICS and ISM.
Julien is SCOR Professional Certified and he is lecturing in SCM for Executive MBA programs in the region (Vietnam, Singapore)
