Event Description

We would like to invite you to a meeting hosted by the HR Committee of AmCham on “Being the Influential Human Resources Partner”.  Exploring the changing role of HR & L&D and giving the audience the mind-set, skills and behavior to be a Trusted Advisor to the business.

The role of Human Resources in Vietnam is changing. While the department has typically been known to deal with the issues of policy, administration, compliance, compensation, benefit and training, a more interactive approach is required for success in today’s ever changing and complex business environment.

Human Resources today is not just a strategic partner to the business, it’s a key player in the business.  Getting involved in decision making and making contributions to the company as a whole, rather than only the Human Resources department.  By being a strategic player, Human Resources is now taking the appropriate seat at the executive table ensuring a “Talent Advantage” is achieved by managing the most vital resources to any company – It’s human capital.

However to capitalize on this opportunities, HR & L&D executives must become a Trusted Advisor to senior business leaders by demonstrate making the right impact, building the right relationships and adding the right level of value to the business.

At this meeting, you will hear from Mr. Jeffrey Markey, Founder and Chief of Intellectual Property Officer of Simitri Group International – a global communication skills training and coaching consultancy.  Jeffrey will discuss the changing role of Human Resources and the mindset, skills and behaviours to be a Trusted Advisor to the business.
