Bui Nguyen Dung, Senior Manager, Ernst & Young Vietnam Limited
Dung has 10 years experience in IT audit and IT advisory. His experience is concentrated in banking industry with deep knowledge on Information security, Infrastructure architecture, operating model definition, IT operations optimization and IT governance.
Dung was the key manager of IT infrastructure assessment and information security assessment and penetration testing services for a number of big commercial banks, reviewing the capacity of current IT infrastructure as well as technical security of the IT infrastructure.
Dung acted as the key manager in several projects to support international and local bank to assessment of the bank’s IT operations against Circular 01/2011/NHNN and Circular 31/2015/TT-NHNN.
Dung was the team leader for the project of implementation and maintenance of information security management system, involving vulnerability scanning for infrastructure design and conducting the current state assessment on information security focusing on people’s awareness, IT infrastructure, network, application, etc.
Dung was senior consultant in the project of information security consulting supporting clients to establish information security system. The scope of the project includes: security review, develop IS policies, guidelines and standards, current state assessment, security architecture and implementation roadmap following the ISO 27001 standard.
Dung was project manager of Information Security Review and Establishing IS Framework and IS Management System of a large joint-stock commercial bank in Vietnam.
Dung was the team lead for information security compliance assessment of various international banks, involving general review the organization and management of information security (e.g. security policies, procedures and the current security-related people, etc.), conducting vulnerabilities scan of operating system, database, etc. as well as reviewing the current IT infrastructure.
Dung performed as a presenter for Events for IT Professionals and IT Students at Universities in Vietnam (RMIT, PTITHCM, National Universities).
Dung is the EY’s Lead Facilitator for Cybersecurity courses at EY Vietnam and Major Risk Program Transformation.
