In response to a number of AmCham companies, AmCham has arranged this workshop to provide an update on U.S. visitor visa application procedures, visa renewal procedures, and procedures for group visits (incentive tours, etc.).

Information about U.S. Visas from the U.S. Consulate General

Mr. John Gregg is the Non-Immigrant Visa (NIV) Section Chief at the U.S. Consulate General in HCM City. The NIV Section processes the visa applications of Vietnamese nationals and third-country nationals seeking to travel to the U.S. temporarily for business, pleasure, study, or work.

Visa Renewal Procedures

Temporary visitors, returning students/ exchange visitors, temporary workers and intra-company transferees (B, F, M, J, H and L visas holders) of Vietnamese nationality can renew their visas by dropping off their applications at the U.S. Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City during scheduled drop box hours (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00am – 10:00am), receiving their new visa in as short as three days, without having to come for a personal interview and fingerprinting
