Event Description

The AmCham Scholarship, a distinguished CSR program from AmCham Vietnam to develop high quality human resources for member companies, is celebrating its 15th Anniversary in 2015. During the past 14 years, AmCham Vietnam has awarded scholarships to 628 students from 12 leading universities in Ho Chi Minh City. On this occasion, AmCham Vietnam will organize an event to recognize the contribution of the Scholarship’s interviewers, who have engaged and committed in the final step in the assessment process for the excellent students. Furthermore, we have an opportunity to look back at the program’s vision, mission and further development in the future.
Especially, all senior HR department leaders of companies are also warmly welcomed to this event, where a panel of experts will discuss the compelling and trendy topic “Why and how to recruit recent college graduates.” Our Panelists are from Pepsico Foods Vietnam, Unilever Vietnam, Ernst & Young Vietnam and TalenNet Corporation. They will share their initiatives, benefits, difficulties, and experiences of recruiting recent college graduates.

Ho Thi Bach Quyen
HR Manager at PepsiCo Foods

Quyen is currently HR Manager of PepsiCo Foods Viet Nam. Quyen developed her career starting with the Management Trainee Program in 2006. In her nine years with PepsiCo, Quyen has gone through various roles in HR, from functional, such as Organization Capability (including Core Process, Culture, Training); Staffing (including Recruitment, Employer Branding, Headcount Planning); to HR Generalist in her current. For fresh graduates recruitment, Quyen plays different roles in different stages as participant, organizer, and assessor for Management Trainee Program.

Quyen received a PepsiCo HR Award for her role on a a task force to standardize Management Trainee Programs for Asia, Middle East & Africa.

Quyen is also the organizer for AmCham Scholarship 2011, team leader of Process team in 2012, consultant for Process team in 2013.

 Senior Manager – Executive Search and  Selection Services, Talentnet

As Executive Search and Selection Services Senior Manager at Talentnet, Phuong has led a strong team serving clients in almost all industries including Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Trading, Sourcing, Oil & Gas, Logistics, and Financial Service. One of key members in the Human Resources Advisory team, she has handled some consulting projects like Performance Appraisal, Competency Framework, Salary Structure, Job Description, Outplacement, Organisation Restructure, Salary Benchmarking, CBI Training, Management Trainee Program, Career Talk, etc. for both Vietnamese and Foreign Companies.

Phuong has over 10 years experience in Recruitment, and Human Resources Advisor. She is a dynamic member of the Amcham HR Committee, and the Vietnam HR Club.

Phuong holds a Bachelor Degree of Arts from Education University of Hue City, Vietnam. Working in Human Resources field, she has additional professional training courses provided by both local and international HR training providers specialized in both technical knowledge and management skills.

Nguyen Quang Anh Thu
HR Manager, Ernst & Young Vietnam

Thu has been an HR Manager at Ernst & Young Vietnam Ltd for almost four years. During this period, she also performed a managerial role at Ernst & Young Singapore for 6 months. Her career with Ernst & Young started in 2006; and since then, she has practiced in different HR areas such as Talent Acquisition, C&B and HRBP. Prior to Ernst & Young, Ms. Thu had three years of experience working in HR & admin-related fields for R.C Real Estate Finance Corporation and VinaSiam JV Bank-Head Office.

Ms. Thu graduated from HCMC University of Pedagogy in 2002 with a major in English Teaching. Besides this, she also has joined various training courses like Recruitment system, Coaching skill, People Soft-Global HR System organized by E&Y in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, and Project Management organized by AIM. She also has recently completed a post-graduate diploma program provided by Singapore HR Institute Academy, in which she majored in HR & Total Reward.

Hanh joined Unilever Vietnam in 2006, after two years as Consultant in leading executive search firms. After nine years with one of the leading FMCG companies, she has rotated among different positions and areas in Unilever HR, including Recruitment, Business Partnering, HR Services and most recently the whole spectrum of Talent Attraction & Acquisition, Talent & Performance Management & Leadership Development.

Hanh also takes part in HR Regional projects such as T&OR (Talent & Organization Readiness) for Unilever Vietnam & Unilever Philippines. She is now taking a regional role to host Leadership development programs across South East Asia and Australia cluster.
