Event Description

Organizations often measure employee satisfaction, because they think the more people satisfy, the longer they will stay in the companies and the better they perform. In fact, in a very highly competitive talent wars in Asia, especially in Asia Pacific thought people feel satisfied, they could leave.

Numerous studies indicate that measuring employee engagement is much more important than employee satisfaction because engaged employees care more, are more productive, give better service, and stay in their jobs longer. Gallup shows that a 20% or better boost to productivity and profitability for companies with high employee engagement. However, most employees are not engaged, only 13% of global workers, are engaged in their jobs. So the question raised to The Management Board is what are the key drivers of Employee Engagement since they are very varied from companies to companies and after that develop a proper strategy to enhance employee engagement scores.

Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverages (SPVB) is a joint venture from Suntory Group (Japan) and PepsiCo (USA), established in 2012. We aims to be a 1 billion USD – Company and top 3 Employer Of Choice in FMCG Multi-National Companies in 2019. To fulfill this ambition, we do understand that people will play critical role and engage people with company is the top priority mission. In SPVB, we conduct Organization Health Survey every 2 years. The purpose of this assignment is to assess employee satisfaction level and more important is identifying key drivers of Employee Engagement. Base on that, the action plans are developed in every function, every location with well follow-up and strong commitment from Executive Committee in order to ensure the best results and sustainable development. Data has been shown that from 2013 to 2016, we kept a strong profile against regional FMCG Companies with superior results on Ethics & Values and Engagement attest SPVB as a high performing company.

Having worked for Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage (SPVB) for 9 years, she is now Senior Vice President – Human Resources. She successfully led the team to provide best HR services to business, continuously improved working environment and increased employee engagement. Under Thu’s leadership, SPVB has always been exceeding all KPIs (Turnover, Engagement, Workforce productivity), which makes SPVB to be among top performers in market.
