Social media presents excellent business opportunities for all companies, especially as a platform to market their names, brands and services quickly and cost efficiently. However, corporate social media usage has also generated HR concerns and complexities related to protection of intellectual properties rights, company image, management of employee communication, etc.

HR2B-Hong Nguyen

Ms. Hong Nguyen, Deputy General Director, HR2B Ho Chi Minh City

After graduation from University, Ms. Hong has worked for Hospitality industry for almost 03 years as customer services role. In 1996, she has joined Merck & Co., US pharmaceutical company as Executive Assistant to General Manager. In 2000, she has transferred to HR role to in charge general HR for Vietnam; Starting  early 2003, she has moved to HR management level in various industries of Advertising and Retail.

In November 2005, Ms. Hong joined HR2B as Branch Manager Hanoi and successfully set up the office and Search team there.  In 2007, she returned to HCMC to lead and develop this larger Search team. In July 2010, HR2B acquired Contracting service business from Navigos Group, her role changed to Business Development Director. Having more than 10 years in HR management, it would add the most value to her role to develop and provide HR services to clients.

As an active member of AmCham HR Committee, EuroCham, and the Vietnam HR Group, HR Association in Vietnam, Hong has developed and maintained a strong network in the HR and business community nationwide Vietnam.

Ms. Trang  has more than 15 years of HR managerial experiences in which 4 years with leading European pharmaceutical company and 11 years with one of the largest FMCG companies in the world. She’s holding both generalist and expertise skills in HR. Ms. Trang delivered major achievements including start-up professional  HR function and teams including processes, procedures, taking initiatives for talent management which became best practice in the region, rolling out HR transformation initiatives , taking big-scale change management role, sharpening reward strategy that strongly linked with high performance culture, and more importantly many years playing a key role of HR strategic partnering role to build and deliver HR agenda that enables the business to deliver results thru great people.

After 4 years working as a HR Head of Sanofi-Synthelabo Vietnam, Ms. Trang joined Unilever Vietnam in 2002 as the HR Business Partner Manager-Customer Development. She had more than 2  years working as a Reward Expertise Manager-Thailand & Vietnam of Unilever SEAA from 2006 to 2009. In May 2009, she was promoted to HR Business Partner Director, in which she’s in charge of Brand Building, Customer Development, Food Solutions then Supply Chain/Manufacturing & Corporate Functions at Unilever Vietnam before getting the current role as Vice President – Human Resources for Unilever Vietnam in August 2013.

Ms. Trang holds Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Open University, HCMC in 1994 and MBA (Honor) from Assumption University, Thailand in 2002. Recently, she received “Vietnam’s 2013 Best Human Resource Business Partner of the Year ” by Tower Watson.

Seck Yee Chung leads the M&A, IT/C, pharmaceutical and healthcare practices in Vietnam.
He has dealt with a wide range of investment projects and major M&A deals, and advised and assisted on corporate, commercial and regulatory compliance matters. This includes foreign direct investment, licensing, market access under WTO, private and public M&A, securities acquisition disclosures, competition and anti-corruption compliance, commercial promotions and marketing, data use and privacy, over a diverse range of industries, from pharmaceuticals, medical devices, clinical trials, cosmetics, and food & beverage, to manufacturing, property, IT/C, and aviation.
