About the Leading Business Club

The LBC (Leading Business Club), a club of leading entrepreneurs of Vietnam, including 100 top businesses of industries and services in Vietnam, was established in February 23rd, 2008. The core of this club is from the promotion program High Quality Vietnamese Goods which has been organized since 1997 and was officially announced as one of the most important promotion program of HCM City. The government of HCM City is responsible for legally directing and organizes the club in a new model: the entrepreneurs will engage in economic and social activities of HCM City but they won’t receive money from the government – the money will come from themselves in the form of the club, self – sufficient in finance and organization. After 10 years, we now can form a club of 100 leading businesses (was officially confirmed by the Board of Governors of HCMC since April 30th, 2007) and the LBC is established.

There are now 51 members in LBC (3 in Hanoi, the rest are in Hochiminh city and main provinces) – successful, well-known for being at the top of the market, well-experienced in business and the most important is they are willing to share the responsibility with leaders of the society and communities.

The Advisory Board of this club includes 3 members: Madam Pham Chi Lan, former member of Board of Research of the Prime Minister – vice chairman of department of Commercial Industry of Vietnam, Mr. Pham Phu Ngoc Trai – Chairman and CEO of Asean PepsiCo and Vice President of Vietnam Marketing Association and Mr. Tran Kim Thanh – CEO of Kinh Do Corporation.

The members include 3 CEOs and Presidents of major investment funds and banks: Vinacapital, ACB and Dong A Bank, large enterprises (Textiles Corporation, Viettel), Dong Tam Company, the Coop mart supermarket chain, SJC, PNJ, Phu Thai Distribution company …
