As an academic (1969-1979), a career diplomat (Ambassador of Viet Nam to the E.U and Belgium, 2000-2003), an elected official (Vice-Chair, Foreign Affairs Committee, Viet Nam’s National Assembly, 2003-2007) and today, an educational and sociocultural ambassador, Madam Ninh has constantly worked to build bridges of understanding and cooperation between Viet Nam and the world.  Through her frequent interaction with the public, especially youth, women and the media, she is known as one of the public figures with a meaningful
voice in Viet Nam.
Madam Ninh is the recipient of the French Legion d’Honneur (Commandeur), the Belgian Order of Leopold II, and the Vietnamese Medal of Labor – First Class.

Graduated in Master’s degree majoring tourism at University of Salzburg (Austria) in 1996, Mr. Khanh has over 26 years’ experience in the Tourism and Destination Management industries. He is now Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism.

In his current position, Mr La Quoc Khanh is responsible for leading the strategic planning process to guide the sustainable management, development and marketing of tourism, including of MICE in Ho Chi Minh City.

1993: Graduated National Economy University – the leading University in Vietnam at Hospitality Management.  Joined Vietnam Airlines Headquarters at Passenger Marketing Division.

2000: Worked with Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) to organize Vietnam Tourism Roadshow in Australia. It is the first Vietnam tourism promotion ever in oversea. Designed Promotion plan for Vietnam Airlines and VNAT in 2000-2003. Organized many events to promote Vietnam as the Destination for new Millennium oversea such as Japan, Korea, China, Germany, France, UK, USA,…

2003: Organized program named “Back to the Future” to promote Vietnam Tourism and Vietnam Airlines after SARC – Birth Flu decease. At the end of 2003: Left Vietnam Airlines to join HG Travel in HCMC.

2004: To set up American Airlines office in Vietnam.

Mr. Glenn Koh assumed his appointment as Area Director, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos in July 2013. In this capacity, he is based in Ho Chi Minh City, one of Singapore Tourism Board’s (STB) regional offices in Southeast Asia, to oversee the operations as well as all marketing and promotional activities within the aforementioned markets to profile Singapore as a compelling tourist destination.
Prior to joining STB, Glenn was Assistant Head, Marketing and Communications at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) where he was responsible for driving marketing campaigns to promote the “Singapore” brand, with a business objective to attract foreign direct investment from multinational companies (MNCs) in markets such as US, Germany and India; and to promote Singapore as a choice destination to “live, work and play”. Glenn also led external cross-governmental as well as cross-divisional collaborations with EDB’s internal business units to develop integrated media and communications strategies.
Prior to EDB, Glenn was part of the Ogilvy & Mather group, an international advertising, marketing and public relations agency, working in Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, Singapore, and the Ogilvy 360° Digital Influence Team. He was given a dual portfolio where he devised and ran regional integrated PR and digital campaigns for clients in a range of industries such as Technology, Consumer, Telecommunications and Lifestyle; and was concurrently part of a dedicated team in charge of leveraging on social media and digital marketing tools to complement marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Glenn graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Social Sciences (2nd class Honours) from the National University of Singapore.

Mr Carl Sladen 3x4Mr. Carl Sladen, Director Of Sales & Marketing – Caravelle Saigon

Over 12 years working in Asia, Mr. Sladen is holding director of sales & marketing position at the historic hotel in downtown Ho Chi Minh City – Caravelle Saigon.

With hospitality sales experience through seven countries, starting in his native New Zealand, Sladen has acted in key sales positions at five-star Four Seasons resorts and hotels in Mexico, Thailand, Japan and Australia.

Previous stints in Asia include Director of Sales at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok, and Consulting Director of Marketing at the Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Chinzan-so. Before relocating to Vietnam in 2011 for three years with Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi. Sladen also travelled and lectured extensively in China.

Caravelle Saigon, like almost all downtown hotels globally requires, for a variety of reasons, a healthy MICE component of business, and therefore is looking for an environment to exist within Vietnam, and Ho Chi Minh City that can facilitate increased levels of MICE revenues – from the traditional US pure incentive to the annual conventions booked 10 years in advance to the 100’s of regional conferencing and off sites that occur throughout SEA.
