AmCham Scholarship Management team would like to invite you to be a Volunteer Interviewer for the Interview Round of the scholarship program. We strongly believe that this is an exciting opportunity to understand more about young promising students, as well as to meet up with other volunteer interviewers from HR background, HR Committee and AmCham Scholars Alumni.

The Interview Round is the last selection round of our scholarship program. 120 candidates who have passed Application Screening and Ability Test rounds will be interviewed for assessment of core competencies in order to get shortlisted as the Winners. These candidates will be divided into four groups of 30 students each and will be scheduled for the Interview at four batches: 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, and 11:00 AM. We will need around 90 Interviewers. Please find more details below:

Interview format

Each Panel will have 3 interviewers:

  • 1 HR Manager/Head/Director or Recruitment/Staffing Manager
  • 1 Manager of any fields or Recruitment Consultant or HR Professional
  • 1 ASA members or HR Professional

Criteria for an Interviewer

General criteria:

  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in Interviewing in English

For experienced Interviewers:

  • HR Managers/Head/Director/Leader/Professionals: at least 3-year experience of interviewing with behavior-based interview methodology
  • Functional Managers/Leader: at least 3-year experience of interviewing with behavior-based interview methodology
  • Recruitment/Staffing Manager: at least 2-year experience of interviewing with behavior-based interview methodology

For ASA (AmCham Scholar Alumni) members:

  • At least 3-year working experience with at least 1-year experience of interviewing with behavior-based interview methodology

Background information of AmCham Scholarship Program

From 2001 to 2024, AmCham has cooperated with 21 Universities in Ho Chi Minh City to carry out the annual scholarship to honor students with excellent performance in both academic aspect and social activities. For 24 years, AmCham Vietnam has granted 1115 scholarships to Vietnamese students. Many of these AmCham Scholars are now working for prestigious organizations such as Intel Products Vietnam, Coca-Cola Vietnam, Suntory PepsiCo, P&G, E&Y and so on; some of them are Ph.D. and M.S., M.A., MBA degree holders. This year’s program is seeking 60 winners with the award of VND 15,000,000 cash, 01 project management course from ATOHA Institute and opportunities for networking.
