Summary of Projects Funded, 2012
Remarks by Tuong Lai Handicapped Children School Representative at the AmCham Grants Award Ceremony 2012
Ladies and gentlemen,
I am Man Tan Dung, current President of the Association for the Support of Vietnamese Handicapped and Orphans in Binh Thuan (ASVHO).
It is an honor for me, on behalf of the ASVHO, to give remarks at the AmCham’s Community Development Fund (ACDF) Award Ceremony.
First of all, I would like to thank the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam and the ACDF Allocation Team for paying a visit to our region.
Aware that there are thousands of orphans and poor in Binh Thuan Province, as well as other rural areas in Vietnam, we built up the project of “Bikes for Disadvantaged Students” in order to provide the children with opportunities to continue to go to school, offering them opportunities for a better future. The project also involves students in remote areas and of ethnic minority. Our goal to help 200 children in the school year of 2012 – 2013.
The American Chamber of Commerce of Vietnam demonstrates deep humanity through all the projects funded. This is a beautiful act, which is shared with your compassion for the disadvantaged.
Once again, please let me express our gratitude to the Board of Governors of AmCham Vietnam and the ACDF Allocation Team for bringing joy to our Binh Thuan province children in the coming school year.
I wish you health and happiness.
Thank you very much.
