From 12 October 2009 to 03 January 2010, plan an evening at the Park Lounge to enjoy live entertainment with Park Hyatt Saigon’s new resident entertainer Andrea Hamilton, a songwriter and pianist from Kansas City, Missouri.
Andrea is a gifted songwriter and pianist-by-ear who earned her Bachelor’s degree in commercial music from Azusa Pacific University (APU) in Southern California. With a smooth, soulful voice and the catchiest of melodies, Andrea’s music holds a beautifully understated quality.
In 2006, Andrea launched her first solo album, “Stronger Than I Seem”. She gained media attention quickly and soon joined Tyrone Wells at the renowned El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. In 2007, she started performing live on the Santa Barbara television series and was then a featured artist at the Youth Artists Grant of Sonora California. From 2008, Andrea performed on Time Warner and Dish Network TV’s Orange County, embarked on her second tour in Asia, and opened with jazz masters Kurt Elling, Broken Social Scene, Trey Lockerbie and more.
This summer, Andrea’s second full-length album, “Deciding What to Keep”, was released internationally. Recorded at the posh Firehouse Studios in Pasadena, California, the album features songs co-written with Kevin Fisher, Alan Waddington, Troy Welstad and others. “Deciding What to Keep” reveals even more spunk and bravery from this maturing artist as her soul-moving songs offer you a breath of fresh air in the cosy and romantic ambience of Park Lounge.
Andrea will perform a range of immortal music selections, ranging from jazz standards and soulful tunes to contemporary pop songs. Indulge in the colours and sounds of this extraordinary singer and pianist while enjoying special drinks, including Ciroc, Tanqueray Top Ten and our signature cocktails.
