Cargill Cares Vietnam just inaugurated an 11-classroom elementary school in My An hamlet, Cho Moi district, An Giang province. This school provides education to 320 students.
Children in this hamlet no longer have to walk up to 8 kilometers to go to school, thanks to Cargill Cares. This school is one of the largest built to date by the Cargil Cares program, in cooperation with United Way. The funds to build the school comes from employees with the support of dealers, vendors, employees and other Cargill Cares supporters.
Also thanks to Cargill Japan, Car Val Japan and Cargill Inc for contributing to the project.
To date, Cargill Vietnam has built 18 schools from North to South to help poor children in remote areas gain access to education.
