HO CHI MINH CITY, May 6, 2008 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that Mary Jo Morris, president of CSC’s World Sourcing Services, officially welcomed First Consulting Group (FCG) Vietnam into the company’s network of global delivery centers during a ceremony today at the Sheraton Saigon Hotel.
CSC acquired FCG in January of this year, and has begun the process to rename FCG operations in Ho Chi Minh City as CSC Vietnam.
FCG Vietnam’s professional staff provides applications development and maintenance services to a variety of clients. As a part of CSC’s global delivery network, CSC Vietnam will develop the local Vietnam software development market and deliver world-class information technology (IT) services to clients around the world.
“I am pleased that the center in Ho Chi Minh City has joined CSC,” said Morris. “Our plans are to make strategic investments in the center by adding more clients, developing the local market and expanding the suite of services delivered. The center is an important piece of our strategy in Asia Pacific and will help CSC realize our goal of ‘delivery to the world from around the world.’”
“We are delighted to celebrate the center’s integration,” said Ngo Hung Phuong, managing director of CSC Vietnam. “Being a part of CSC allows us to significantly grow our operations and contribute more to the Vietnam IT industry. The presence of CSC in this country further confirms the quality of Vietnam’s IT capabilities.”
During her visit, Morris and a delegation of high-level CSC executives visited Le Hoang Quan, chairman of Ho Chi Minh City’s People Committee, and Chu Tien Dung, chairman of Ho Chi Minh City’s Computer Association, to discuss prospects for further IT development and gain a better understanding of the IT market in Vietnam.
