Eddie Thai is a partner with 500 Startups, the global VC firm based in Silicon Valley. He is focused on supporting Vietnam’s next great tech startups, as well as helping develop 500’s offerings in corporate innovation and startup ecosystem development. His efforts have been covered by Bloomberg, BBC, the Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, and various regional outlets. In 2015 he was recognized as one of Forbes Vietnam’s 30 Under 30, and in 2016 he was invited to attend and speak at the World Economic Forum’s flagship conference in Davos. He received degrees from Harvard University and Yale University, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Harvard Alumni Association (2015-2018) and on the global Yale Assembly (2018-present).

Ms. Linh Pham

Founder and CEO, LOGIVAN

Linh grew up in Hanoi before moving to the UK to study Natural Sciences at Cambridge University. As a student, Linh started her first company Snappetite, winning the SVC2UK Hackathon to meet then Prime Minister David Cameron. After graduating in cognitive neuroscience, Linh worked as a technology analyst for Goldman Sachs in London before returning to Vietnam.

In a project at a Vietnamese manufacturing company, Linh noticed the low utilisation rate of trucks, inspiring her to start LOGIVAN in September 2017. LOGIVAN is Uber for trucks, enabling real-time tracking of trucks and connecting directly to the drivers. Within three months, LOGIVAN had won the Uber exchange programme and raised a $600k seed investment from Insignia Ventures.

Now after winning “Best Startup” at the prestigious RISE conference in Hong Kong, Linh is excited to announce LOGIVAN’s $1.75m Series A round led by ETHOS Partners to enable the next phase of its expansion.

Co-Founder and COO, Triip Pte.ltd

Ha Lam is Co-Founder and COO of Triip Pte.ldt – The Sustainable Travel Tech Company. Triip.me is one of the key product of Triip, a sharing platform that connects people looking to experience the local culture with those who are looking to offer specially designed tours. Currently the platform has more than 1.9 million hotels, with over 6,000 hand-picked tours around the world and created jobs for locals in 100 countries. Ha is passionate about sustainable development, specifically the protection of each country’s natural, artistic, archaeological and cultural heritage. Ha Lam has received multiple awards, including being named a Forbes Asia’s ’30 under 30’, and a UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) ‘Celebrating Her’ award for Empowering Women in Tourism.”

Mr. Tony (Linh) Duong

CEO, Career Pass Institute

Tony (Linh) Duong is CEO of Career Pass Institute, a New York based career coach institution provides global standard career training services to support international students with professional development and job search strategy. He has successfully coached many students to receive the job offers at prestigious organizations in the US such as PwC, Deloitte, EY, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Facebook, etc.

Before that, he also had management consulting experiences as a Senior Consultant with PwC Advisory Services in New York City. His experiences focus on business strategy, training, change management and M&A integration. Tony has served client engagements within financial services, life sciences, technology and media & entertainment industries, etc. Prior to joining PwC, he worked at Ernst & Young and BlackRock Investment Management Group.

In addition to his professional work, he also dedicates his time to serve as Leader of the Career & Professional Development Committee, Association of Vietnamese Student and Professional in the United States (AVSPUS). He has been recognized recently by General Ambassador of Vietnam to the US – Mr. Phạm Quang Vinh for his dedication to the organization and young Vietnamese community in the US.

While at school, he served as the President and Founder of Ascend-Pan Asian Leader at his university. Ascend is one of largest professional associations in the US and Canada that enables its members, corporate partners and the community to realize the leadership potential of Pan-Asian in global corporations. In the summer of 2011, Tony was awarded the Excellent Leadership Scholarship at Ascend National Convention in recognition of his contribution to the development of the Ascend chapter. He was also a scholar of Diversity Leadership Summit at Harvard Business School and participated as a Scholar of White House Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders Youth Leadership.
