Please register now to buy your tickets to AmCham Vietnam’s U.S. Independence Day Celebration and Community Picnic on Saturday, July 1st in HCMC, this year celebrating 247 years of American independence!
Feel like you are back in the USA with this family-friendly event at Riverside in Thao Dien at AmCham’s 28th annual Independence Day celebration. Enjoy live music, a flag ceremony with the national anthem, all-you-can-eat food and free flow of beverages with a variety of traditional American food and beverage options, including: hot dogs; hamburgers; BBQ ribs; tacos; fried chicken; pizza; popcorn; cotton candy; ice cream; soft drinks; beer; and wine, along with international and local cuisine.
Children will enjoy a wonderful kids corner with many fun activities including face painting and a bouncy castle.

(Source: The U.S. National Archives) By the way, did you know that the American Declaration of Independence was one of the sources for Vietnam’s Declaration of Independence by President Ho Chi Minh in Hanoi on National Foundation Day, 2 Sep 1945? His opening words were: “‘All men are created equal. They are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.’ This immortal statement was made in the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America in 1776. In a broader sense, this means: All the nations on the earth are equal from birth, all the nations have the right to live, to be happy and free.”
