Main Topic: How digitalization is shaping the future of logistics by Steven Vuong/WiseTech Global – Australia
Brief overview: COVID-19 and the eCommerce boom have provided an impetus for companies to relook at their supply chains. The implementation of more diverse supply chain strategies to mitigate the risks of supply chain disruption caused by trade lockdowns or carrier restrictions will become standard business practice. In an industry where data sets and data flows are still heavily fragmented and paper-based, we need to continue to drive the beginning of the digital revolution that was caused by COVID-19. There is a critical need to have data integrated throughout the chain – a single, seamless flow of information that is verified and a truthful representation of the transaction.
SubTopics that will be covered:
– The state of play: impacts of COVID-19 on the industry
– How the pandemic accelerated the digital revolution
– Future-proofing your logistics business
