Linh Nguyen
CEO, Co-Founder, NeoPay
After graduating from Cass Business School in London, Linh returned to her native Vietnam to work in the banking and finance industry.
Starting at Petro Vietnam Finance Corp, she was involved in a private placement deal to raise $300 million. She then moved to HSBC Bank, where she was in charge of a $200 million portfolio of Large Corporate Clients in the FMCG and retail industries(Masan, Mobile World, Digiworld). She then transitioned to State Bank Vietnam, where she was deputy team head, inspecting local commercial banks, branches of foreign banks, and consumer financial companies.
Having comprehensive work experience covering SOE, private industry, and government gives Linh a unique perspective, broad networks, and a strong understanding of critical issues facing enterprises operating in Vietnam. She is equipped to bridge the gap between the solutions banks can provide and what enterprise customers seek, and she desires to bring this innovation to the banking/finance industry; she has worked with Tony Truong in fintech since 2018, and together, they co-founded Neo Pay in 2021.
Tony Truong
Co-Founder, NeoPay
Growing up in Silicon Valley and graduating from Stanford with a Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Tony worked for 11 years as an RF Analog Design Engineer for AMD’s startup Wireless Group and DSP Group (acquired by Synaptics) on emerging Wi-Fi 802.11 products, cordless telephony, and chips for the GSM cellular markets.
Returning to Vietnam in 2006, he worked in various executive roles in the hospitality and property management industry, working on digital transformation projects that improved operational efficiency and engaged with all technology partners/vendors for his employers.
Seeing the potential of SBV’s proposed fintech sandbox, he has worked with Linh Nguyen in fintech since 2018, and together, they co-founded Neo Pay in 2021.
