Event Description

AMCHAM’s newly-formed Entrepreneurship & Innovation Initiative was created to engage and support entrepreneurs to learn and grow; share knowledge about trends in innovation; and facilitate value creation between young, innovative businesses and larger, mature companies.

Please join us for a collaborative, town hall style meeting aimed to identify what topics programming and initiatives we’ll focus on in 2020. Your participation will help ensure we pursue activities and produce events that our community needs.

Our discussion will be led by business guru and #1 best selling author Stephen Turban, whose writing and research on entrepreneurship, organization, and productivity has been published in Harvard Business Review, The Economist, BBC News, Freakonomics Radio, Washington Post, Bloomberg Press, PBS NewsHour, Inc, Quartz, Tech Republic, and the Times, among others.

Stephen will also be sharing insights about entrepreneurship in Vietnam… the challenges and the promise.

Stephen Turban

Stephen Turban is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Harvard College, a McKinsey Boston & Beijing alum, and a member of Fulbright University Vietnam’s Office of the President.

Stephen’s passion is writing and researching workplace productivity, entrepreneurship, and organizational behavior.  He has published in academic journals and his work has been covered by the Harvard Business Review, The Economist, BBC News, Freakonomics Radio, Washington Post, Bloomberg Press, PBS News Hour, Inc, Quartz, Tech Republic, and the Times among others.  In college, he co-authored a book, Your Relationship GPA, which was a #1 Best Seller in Friendship on Amazon.

At Harvard, Stephen was the co-founder of the Franklin Fellowship – www.franklinfellowship.com.  The organization holds weekly dinners with fellows (members) and outside guests.  The focus of the dinners is self-growth.  Since 2014, there have been over 400 dinners and nearly 200 unique guests.

Stephen is also a social media influencer in China where he has 150,000+ followers.
