Event Description
On November 12, 2024, the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance issued the draft Decree to guide the implementation of Resolution No. 107/2023/QH15 (“Resolution 107”) on Global Minimum Tax (“Draft Decree”).
The draft is open for public consultation until December 6, 2024, with feedback being sought from government agencies, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), business associations, and the broader business community. Following the consultation period, the Decree will be finalized for government review and approval, with the official release anticipated by December 2024 or January 2025.
In this morning briefing, we will review the key provisions of the draft Decree and how it impacts the tax compliance of the companies in Vietnam.
