Event Description
You are cordially invited to the Launch of the Vietnam Systematic Country Diagnostic Update 2021 entitled “How will Vietnam Blossom? Reforming institutions for effective implementation”, which will be held from 9:00 – 11:00am on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Zoom connection is available for virtual participation.
Building on remarkable development successes of the past 25 years, Vietnam aspires to become an upper middle-income economy by 2035 and achieve high income status by 2045. To realize this high ambition, the country does not only need to identify the right development priorities, given complex challenges emerging in the domestic and global contexts, but also to adapt its institutions so it can implement them effectively.
This important report provides an analysis of Vietnam’s development priorities for the coming decades and, importantly, proposes a platform of five institutional reforms that should help the government implement them more effectively.
The launch will benefit from insights of three well-respected Vietnamese public, academic, and private sector speakers.
