Phong Nguyen is a Partner at Asia Counsel with a specialization in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital markets, banking and finance, and corporate and commercial law.
His extensive experience includes advising a wide array of clients on their investment and acquisition projects in the healthcare sector.
Phong has represented both buyers and sellers, providing comprehensive legal counsel that spans from healthcare providers to investment funds.
Before joining Asia Counsel, Phong was with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for 8 years and Hogan Lovells for 6 years where he led high-value M&A, project finance and arbitration matters.
|Dr. Dilshaad Ali Bin Abas Ali
Group Chief Executive Officer, Hoan My Medical Group
Dr. Dilshaad Ali Bin Abas Ali joined Hoan My in August 2022 from Makkah Healthcare Cluster, a division of the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia, where he served as the President and CEO to lead healthcare transformation goals under the country’s National Transformation Program and Vision 2030.
Dr. Dilshaad was also CEO of the King Abdullah Medical City in Mecca, Saudi Arabia as part of the Makkah healthcare cluster for the western region of Saudi Arabia. Throughout his career, Dr. Dilshaad has held the belief that sharing and building knowledge in key ecosystems is pivotal to leadership succession and talent development. Dr. Dilshaad practised medicine after obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at Dow Medical College under the University of Karachi in Pakistan. He obtained his Master of Business Administration in Innovation from Hult Business School in June 2022.
Senior Investment Manager, VinaCapital
Huong is a Senior Investment Manager at VinaCapital. She works on the VinaCapital private equity team and has over 15-year experience in finance, with the past 10 years focusing on healthcare. Before working at VinaCapital, Huong worked at Hoan My Medical Corporation as Assistant to Group CFO.
Huong graduated from the University of Economics and Laws – Vietnam National University HCMC with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Auditing.
Investor, Nhi Dong 315
Zig Wronsky is currently an investor in Nhi Dong 315, a Vietnam-based, private equity-backed healthcare services company addressing pediatric & womens’ health. It is the largest primary care provider in Vietnam with 100+ specialty clinics across the country. Prior to Nhi Dong 315, he was an investor at Hendale Capital, a China-outbound growth equity platform. At Hendale, Zig originated the firm’s investments in Southeast Asia (RedDoorz, Everest Education) and Survey.com (acquired by TRAX.) Prior to Hendale, he was an investor at Boston Millennia Partners, a growth equity firm focusing on healthcare, life sciences, and pharma services. At Boston Millennia Partners, he supported the firm’s investments in Collegium Pharmaceutical (NASDAQ: COLL,) and PreCision Dermatology (acquired by Valeant.) Zig holds a BA in Economics and Psychology from Tufts University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Managing Partner, Asia Counsel Vietnam
Minh Duong is the Managing Partner of Asia Counsel Vietnam. Minh is admitted as a lawyer in the New South Wales Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia. He has over 15 years of legal experience with a strong professional focus on M&A practices, including in the healthcare sector where he has advised on several significant deals in recent years.
Minh is ranked Band 4 by Chambers & Partners in its Corporate M&A rankings for Vietnam and is the top 100 A-List lawyer in Vietnam.
