Phong Nguyen
Partner, Asia Counsel Phong Nguyen is a Partner at Asia Counsel with a specialization in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital markets, banking and finance, and corporate and commercial law. His extensive experience includes advising a wide array of clients on their investment and acquisition projects in the healthcare sector. Phong has represented both buyers and sellers, providing comprehensive legal counsel that spans from healthcare providers to investment funds. Before joining Asia Counsel, Phong was with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for 8 years and Hogan Lovells for 6 years where he led high-value M&A, project finance and arbitration matters. |
Christopher Chew Business Development Director, Hoan My Medical Group Christopher Chew joined Hoan My in 2023 as Business Development Director, in order to oversee the Group’s M&A activities. Prior to that, he served as the Project Development Director at FV Hospital, in charge of expansion and heading FV Saigon Clinic operations at Bitexco. Besides his 6.5 years of experience in Vietnam’s healthcare market, he had worked extensively in the healthcare sector for the past 17 years in Malaysia, Indonesia and Myanmar. |

Director, Quadria Capital Janice is a Director at Quadria Capital, one of the leading Healthcare Private Equity fund in Asia. With more than 10 years of experience in investment banking and private equity across the United States and Asia, Janice began her career at Goldman Sachs New York, specializing in healthcare services industry. In addition, Janice is passionate about advancing women’s health agenda and is an Investor at Portfolia, a Venture Capital fund dedicated to supporting women’s health-focused start-ups worldwide. |
Hong Le
Legal Director, GSK Pharma in Vietnam Hong Le obtained bachelor degree in law from University of Law, and bachelor in international trade from University of Foreign Trade. Hong Le got Master in Public Policy, Leadership and Management faculty from University of Fulbright, a NASPAS members with honorary MPP degree. Hong Le is a seasoned legal director with more than 20 extensive experience years serving as inhouse counsel for top multinational corporations (MNCs): Friesland-Campina, British American Tobacco, Unilever, GSK. Recognized for deep expertise in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector and highly governed industries such as foods, tobacco, cosmetic, nutrition… Hong Le provides strategic legal guidance in complex, cross-border transactions and projects across multiple markets. |
Justin Gisz
Partner, Asia Counsel Vietnam Justin Gisz has more than 25 years of legal experience, more than 16 years of which in Vietnam. Primarily a corporate / M&A lawyer, Justin also has considerable experience in banking and finance, capital markets, renewable energy and real estate. He advises VC and PE funds, corporates and high net worth individuals on their investment and business activities in Vietnam. Justin is qualified in New South Wales, Australia, and holds a Vietnam Foreign Lawyer’s Practising Certificate. |
