Are women entrepreneurs a pathway for Vietnam to groom 10 technology unicorns by 2030?

With a strong belief in the potential of female entrepreneurship, Ascend Vietnam Ventures (AVV), in partnership with the Australian government’s Investing in Women, launched the SHINE Women Founder Initiatives. Since its commencement in early 2021, SHINE has provided 600+ hours of training, mentorship, and networking opportunities to nearly 50 women-led businesses, forming a true community and support network for women business leaders in tech.

As SHINE officially wraps up this month, we are pleased to host the SHINE Women in Tech Gala to spotlight Vietnam’s amazing women founders and other women leaders in tech, share stories and learnings from our SHINE journey, and call for further women empowerment initiatives to unlock Vietnam’s full potential to become a startup powerhouse in Asia.

Join us to honor and champion enterprising women in tech in Vietnam.

About Ascend Vietnam Ventures

Ascend Vietnam Ventures (AVV) is a seed-stage venture capital firm located in Ho Chi Minh City. Our mission is to empower tech entrepreneurs in Vietnam to positively transform the lives of people everywhere.

SHINE is a series of women founder initiatives dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs in Vietnam. The initiatives, led by AVV in partnership with Investing in Women, provide technical assistance in the form of training, mentorship, and community building. About Investing in Women

Investing in Women is an Australian Government initiative to catalyze inclusive economic growth and poverty reduction in Southeast Asia. The program goals are to improve women’s participation in the workforce and as business leaders, enhance women’s voice in decision-making and leadership, and influence the private and public sectors to recognize and promote the value of gender equality. Investing in Women partners with impact investors to strengthen access to finance for women-owned and led SMEs, particularly in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, and to build a business case for a more inclusive investing environment globally.
