Dr. Jackie Lei Tin Ong
Senior Lecturer in Tourism and Hospitality Management, RMIT Vietnam
Dr. Jackie Ong is a Senior Lecturer in Tourism and Hospitality Management at RMIT Vietnam and formerly served as Senior Program Manager for over six years. With more than 20 years of experience, she specializes in sustainable tourism, hospitality management, and professional training. Dr. Ong is recognized for her research and consultancy in sustainable tourism development, having worked with government officials from over 60 developing countries. Her research focuses on areas such as coastal resort tourism, urban tourism, sustainable development, smart tourism, and the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Passionate about education, she is committed to developing future leaders in the tourism and hospitality sector. Her expertise spans sustainable development, CSR, policy analysis, and urban planning. Dr. Ong holds a Doctorate in Sustainable Development Planning from the University of Queensland, a Master’s in Urban Planning from the University of Melbourne, and a Bachelor’s degree from the National University of Singapore.
