After an initial welcome, you will rotate through three virtual discussion groups focused on 3 Rs: Resilience, Relationships, and Results, facilitated by some of our wonderful WIL volunteer leaders. We will then come back together to discuss the key recommendations and other ideas for future WIL programming.
Resilience will focus on how to maintain physical and mental wellness and resiliency. Relationships will focus on ensuring diversity and inclusion in our workplaces, building our own networks of support, and creating them for other women, including the next generation of female leaders. Results will focus on what you want to achieve: speakers on specific areas of interest from financial planning, conflict management, to public speaking; mentorship; or possibly short-term leadership and capacity-building training.

Jessica is the Accounting and Finance Controller at Sunrise Events Vietnam, in the sporting events and sport tourism industry, where she is responsible for all components of financial health and financial processes. Jessica attended the University of Oregon for her undergraduate degree (in accounting) and Arizona State University for her MBA (focus in finance). After graduating Jessica worked in a variety of positions across accounting and finance at Intel Corporation and NIKE, Inc. Jessica has always been passionate about sports and enjoys being able to touch the lives of many people through her work in this developing market.
Country Manager, Vietnam
Minh Nguyen oversees the Vietnam market for Aetna International in Asia Pacific. In this role, she is responsible for managing relations with fronting partner and reinsurance companies, ensuring operational excellence, ensuring that international standards are provided to valued customers, exploring new market segments and overseeing business operations nationwide. An Aetna employee since 2015, she was previously with AIG (American International Group) for nearly a decade. With her broad experience and expertise, Minh is a proven leader and strategic thinker.

Intel Products Vietnam & Malaysia
Uyen has been with Intel since 2006 as one of the pioneers involving in the setup the $1B Assembly and Test factory of Intel investment in Vietnam. The Intel investment is the first largest high-tech US investor and the first mover of this industry into Vietnam. Uyen is also the first local senior manager sitting on the Vietnam Site Steering Committee for Intel.
Uyen leads a regional Public Affairs team for Intel Vietnam and Intel Malaysia, the team priorities are Licenses to Operate for Intel manufacturing sites, Business Growth and Reputation through policy advocacy. In addition, the PA team also manages Media Relations, Workforce Development with University Collaborations and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Uyen and Vietnam Public Affairs team have been running many scholarship programs included the AWES, AmCham Scholarship and HEEAP, IVS which awarded thousands young students studying in Vietnam, in USA and Australia. Uyen has a strong passion to support female in leadership, especially female students in engineering to promote a diverse and inclusive skill-based talent pool for Intel and Vietnam.
Uyen has a MBA from the Columbia Southern University (CSU) and a BA in English of the HCMC Teaching University. She likes travelling, cooking and reading.

Nguyen Thuy Hang is a Partner in Baker McKenzie’s Ho Chi Minh city office. Her practice focuses on Employment and Labor, Compliance and Investigation, Corporate Restructuring and Reorganization, and general M&A. She is one of the few Vietnamese lawyers dually admitted to practice law in New York State and Vietnam. Ms. Nguyen has been assisting in various compliance investigation and advice. During her 13 years with Baker McKenzie, she has worked in the Vietnam, Barcelona and London offices. Ms. Nguyen is the Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of American Chamber of Commerce, Ho Chi Minh City Chapter, and the Board Liaison of its HR Committee.

Irene has been based in Vietnam since 2012 and has since become a sought-after expert for her work to promote women leadership. Irene has pioneered a number of initiatives to inspire women: she co-authored a best-selling book on Vietnamese women leaders, BaTrieu’s 21st Century Daughters. Stories of Remarkable Vietnamese Women, and founded the Women’s Storytelling Salon, an inter-cultural and inter-generational events series, in 2014, which runs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.2019 saw the birth of her new company, LightPath Leadership, where Irene combines her deep experience in executive coaching, intercultural consulting, and the power of storytelling, drawing on her 20+ years experience in leadership development on four continents.As part of this, LightPath Leadership is now offering cutting edge international women leadership programmes tailored to the Vietnamese context.
Tina Tran Neville
Lana Learn, CEO
Tina Tran Neville was born in Soc Trang, Vietnam and went to the United States when she was two years old. She grew up in Oklahoma, attended the University of Tulsa and Yale University for graduate school, then joined the U.S. Foreign Service where she worked as a diplomat in Vietnam, Iraq, Pakistan, and Washington DC. After her diplomatic career, Tina became a teacher and afterwards an education entrepreneur with her first company Transcend Academy, which has supported over 20,000 students in U.S. university preparation and was named the Best Education Company in Washington DC for the past two years. In 2019, Tina launched Lana Learn, a corporate English training organization for multinational companies with global teams. Lana Learn’s initial market is Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and will soon be expanding to the rest of Southeast Asia. Tina participated in the May 2019 Global Entrepreneurship Summit in the Netherlands and in September 2019 met with U.S. Senators to promote Women in Business issues. She has received numerous business and government awards, including the U.S Department of State’s Superior and Meritorious Honor Awards, International Business Stevie Gold Award, and Seattle’s “40 Under 40” Business Leaders.

Ms. Linh Thai has over 20 years of experience in finance, marketing, and operations. Her prior roles include CEO of Vingroup Ventures, a corporate venture capital fund; Head of Strategy and Operations at VinaCapital, one of the leading asset managers in Vietnam; and Director of Investments at DFJ VinaCapital, one of Vietnam’s first venture capital funds. Linh is also a “shark” on the Vietnamese version of Shark Tank.
Linh graduated with honors from the University of Southern California and holds an MBA from The Wharton School. Linh grew up in Los Angeles, CA and has called Ho Chi Minh City home for the past 12 years. She is a mother to two daughters ages 4 years and 4 months.

Mr. Ken D. Duong, Esq., MBA started his professional career in 2009 after completing all his required formal, institutional education. That same year, Mr. Duong co-founded an international law firm with offices in Orange County, California, U.S.A. and Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam focused on U.S.-Vietnam bi-lateral trade, including corporate/business law, business taxation, international trade, intellectual property, and business immigration matters. His focus areas and experience are in international corporate/business law, taxation, and business immigration mainly focused on South East Asia.
Throughout the years, Mr. Duong has represented over 150 companies, including international companies from 4 continents, over 15 countries, and in many different industries, such as manufacturing, technology, food processing/distribution, media and television entertainment, sports, finance, professional services, and many others. However, his dominant expertise would be U.S.-Vietnam bi-lateral trade and economic relations, including having lived, worked, and studied extensively in both the United States and Vietnam while having fully bi-lingual and bi-cultural fluency in Vietnamese and English. Moreover, he has organized over 40 U.S.-Vietnam and vice-versa business trade missions to increase bi-lateral trade and relations between the two countries.
With community engagement, Mr. Duong has served as board of directors and chair positions on chambers of commerce, non-profit or not-for-profit organizations, educational board foundations, trade associations, government industry and focus groups, and other community building organizations.
Mr. Duong lived in the U.S. since 1986 and received his Bachelors of Arts in Economics/International Area Studies, minor in Spanish, and specialization in computing from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and his joint graduate degree – Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.) and Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) – from Golden Gate University School of Law and School of Business in San Francisco, California, U.S.A.
Aside from his professional career, Mr. Duong has traveled to, lived in, or worked in over 25 countries, is an adamant cyclist and swimmer, loves outdoor adventure activities, is an avid reader and is fluent in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.
