Statement of Interest
On behalf of P&G, I am delighted to express interest in becoming a member of AmCham Vietnam HCMC (“ACVN”) Board of Governors to strengthen our long-time relationship through further contribution. Apart from our most recent Board membership during 2020-22 term, P&G has played a leadership role in Manufacturing Committee during Covid-19 and until now; acted as a secretary in Healthcare Committee, while frequently contributed to Legal Committees and others.
P&G would like to see ACVN to thrive further as the most influential and trusted business association partner to both U.S. and Vietnam governments. Particularly, we believe that ACVN should fully leverage the recent milestone of the U.S. – Vietnam relationship to become a strategic and technical partner to the government stakeholders and others on DE&I, ESG/Sustainability, and Innovation.
As a leading U.S. FMCG company, P&G has strong in-house teams with expertise on various areas that are valuable to ACVN’s activities, particularly on policy advocacy and dialogues with government leaders. Given our operational experience in Vietnam since 1995, I believe P&G is the right fit that can bring in-depth corporate insights and leverage strong MNC position that has been recognized by the U.S. and Vietnam governments to help represent ACVN where and when needed.
I look forward to further cooperation between ACVN and P&G to benefit member community.
