Michael McGarr – Regional General Director for Gap Inc., (Gap International Sourcing) located in Ho Chi Minh City.

Michael leads the sourcing offices and teams in South East Asia managing the production for Gap Inc. brands. Vietnam being Gap Inc’s number 1 sourcing country. Having over 25 years’ experience in the apparel industry, Michael has led teams in Africa, China, Europe and South East Asia. Sourcing product from over 30 different countries. Previously having lived in Istanbul, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Originally from the North East of England, he started his career as an Assistant Buyer managing Women’s knitwear. Joining Gap Inc, September 2017.

Michael’s interests include cycling, soccer and travel. Married to Hazal and now living in Ho Chi Minh City.

To support the pro-active nature of the Chamber. Encourage the development of the Chamber’s network and actively drive the ‘ease of doing business’ in Vietnam. Use our network to inspire and implement solutions to build a sustainable way of doing business in Vietnam to support our members.
