Statement of Interest/Vision
I have been attending AmCham events in HCMC, Danang and Hanoi, as well as online. I clearly saw the benefits AmCham brought to its members including learning and sharing best practices, the lessons learned from doing business and living in Vietnam, the informative interactions with members of the U.S. government, and, of course, the opportunities of networking among members.
I would like to see more AmCham activities involved Vietnamese companies from whom we could learn their business practices, their view of American companies, their suggestions, and the opportunities of cross networking. As the country head of Boeing Vietnam, I could invite the airlines, suppliers, and partners in Vietnam to participate in selective functions of AmCham. Also, in 2022, Boeing worked alone to provide grants to seven CSR projects in Vietnam. I do not think working alone in this area was the most efficient way. In the future, I would like to work with other AmCham members to join force to carry out more CSR projects.
