PATH implements Healthy Markets, a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded project that aims to grow a viable commercial market for HIV-related goods and services – such as condoms, HIV testing and counseling and sterile needles and syringes – that is capable of meeting the needs of populations facing the greatest risks in Vietnam.

PATH is recruiting an Innovation Fund Consultant, based in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, to lead the development and launch of the Healthy Markets Innovation Fund. The aim of the fund is to take a social enterprise approach to stimulating and piloting community and individual led innovations to support a sustainable response to HIV in Vietnam. Specifically, the fund will attract dynamic and entrepreneurial community groups and individuals, to test innovative models for:

  • • Distributing and selling condoms and lubricant; and/or low dead space syringes
  • • Generating demand for condoms and lubricant, HIV testing and counselling services, and low dead space syringes

For this role PATH is seeking a dynamic individual with:

  • • Experience in impact investment and social entrepreneurship (highly desirable), and/or at least 3 years of relevant experience in fund management (venture capital, mutual funds, private equity or investment banking)
  • • An interest in utilizing private sector knowledge and experience to contribute to health and social change in Vietnam
