Christmas Eve Celebration @ Caravelle Hotel, Dec 24

One of the most magical nights of the year will be celebrated with an equally enchanting dinner in the heart of Saigon.

This Christmas Eve, The Caravelle will present a festive five-course menu by Chef Darren Watson in its romantic fine-dining restaurant, Reflections from 6:00pm to 11:00pm. Diners can enjoy Chef Watson’s gourmet Christmas creations with a complimentary flute of champagne, a mesmerizing view of historic Lam Son Square and music by a live jazz quartet.

The city’s favourite buffet restaurant, Nineteen, will carry a special spread prepared by Chef Timo Reuss, featuring traditional Christmas dishes and a wide array of Asian and International specialties. From 7:00pm to midnight, the evening will be enhanced by a live jazz performance in the hotel’s lobby, and a surprise visit from Santa with gifts for all the good children. Diners can toast the holiday with free flowing wines and premium cocktails, plus a complimentary glass of Taittinger Champagne.

Park Hyatt Saigon Welcomes Two New Culinary Additions

Park Hyatt Saigon is pleased to announce the appointment of Soren Lascelles, the new Chef de Cuisine in Square One, and Bertrand Sommereux, the new Pastry Chef to oversee the Pastry Kitchen.

Soren Lascelles, Square One Chef Soren started his culinary career in 1997 and has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in Sydney and London. An Australian native, Soren was the 2010 winner of the Electrolux Appetite for Excellence Young Chef Award. Classically French-trained, Soren’s style of cooking is very global, encompassing many different flavors and techniques from Europe. In his new role at Square One, Soren will add his own culinary flair to the menu and continue to create gastronomic experiences to please every palate.

Bertrand Sommereux, Pastry Chef From Lyon, France, Bertrand Sommereux has been appointed the new Pastry Chef, in charge of the entire Patisserie department at Park Hyatt Saigon.
