Introduction
The AmCham Tax and Customs Committee represents the views and voice of AmCham member companies on tax-related issues. It strives to contribute regularly to the tax-related topics with its members´ expertise, mainly by commenting on new legislation, analyzing tax issues and providing recommendations through position papers. It’s a new Committee and consists of tax practitioners from businesses, large professional services firms, tax lawyers and tax specialists from industry.

![]() Mr. Doan Dieu Minh – Tax Manager – Intel Products Vietnam Minh currently is the Senior Tax Manager of Intel Corporation, responsible for Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand. Minh has more than 6 years of experience working at PwC Vietnam and KPMG Vietnam and an equivalent number of years with Intel Corporation. During the period working with PwC Vietnam and KPMG Vietnam, he provided tax compliance, tax consultancy and Tax Due Diligent services to a wide range of industries including manufacturing, service, oil & gas, trading, hi-tech, and etc. At Intel Corporation, Minh focused on M&A, tax compliance and tax planning and restructuring. He led many critical projects to drive the tax efficiency for Intel businesses in Vietnam and in the APAC region. Minh is currently the Chair of AmCham Tax Committee. Minh holds a Bachelor degree on Foreign Economic Relations at the Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh City and a MBA degree at Columbia Southern University in USA. |
![]() Mr. Thanh Vinh Nguyen – Partner of Baker McKenzie Ho Chi Minh City Office Thanh Vinh Nguyen is a Partner in the Baker McKenzie Ho Chi Minh City office, where he leads the Tax and Customs practice group in Vietnam. Mr. Nguyen’s practice areas include tax and customs, trade and general commercial matters. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie’s Ho Chi Minh City office in 2004, Mr. Nguyen practiced tax advisory work for two international accounting firms for eight years and worked in the compliance function of an international insurance company. An expert in tax planning and law, Mr. Nguyen has assisted clients with advice and structuring work as well as contentious appeals with the tax authorities. Mr. Nguyen is an award winning practitioner, recently recognized by the International Tax Review in the categories of: Indirect Tax Leader (2017) and Tax Controversy Leader (2017) as well as being ranked as a Leading Lawyer for Taxation in Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2017). He has written a number of articles on Vietnamese tax issues and is co-author of the tax management portfolio Business Operations in Vietnam, published by Bloomberg BNA. Recently, Mr. Nguyen co-authored the Vietnam chapter of Inward Investment and International Taxation Review – 8th Edition. Mr. Nguyen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Ho Chi Minh City and an LL.B from the University of Law of Ho Chi Minh City. |
