Government keeps focus on inflation control said PM Nguyen Tan Dung at the government’s regular online meeting with local authorities on July 1 to discuss the country’s socio-economic situation in the first six months, the implementation of the Resolution 11 and programmes planned for the next six months.
Minimum Wage Adjustment (MWA) earlier than scheduled “Due to high inflation, we have proposed the government to increase minimum wage effective Oct 1, 2011, instead of Jan 1, 2012,” said Pham Minh Huan, Vice Minister of MOLISA.

Vietnam Airlines to expand fleet to 110 aircraft by 2015 The airline is currently operating around 300 flights a day with 68 aircraft.
Rules on foreign staff tightened As of May 2011, there were over 74,000 foreign workers in Vietnam, coming mostly from China, South Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia,according to the MOLISA Employment Department.
