Nexus Technologies of Phila. pleads guilty in Vietnam corrupt payments case The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Philadelphia said Nexus and three brothers who worked at the company have “admitted that from 1999 to 2008 they agreed to pay, and knowingly paid, bribes in excess of $ 250,000 to Vietnamese government officials in exchange for contracts.”
POSCO May Invest $ 200 million in Vietnam Plant on Thainox delay Southeast Asia is the world’s biggest net importing steel market with demand expected to grow 9.2 percent a year, according to the research arm of the Korean mill. Chief Executive Officer Chung Joon Yang, planning a record $ 8.2 billion in capital spending this year, said Jan. 14 he wanted to complete talks to buy Thainox by the end of January.
“Cosmopolitan,” the world-leading magazine for young women, will be published in Vietnam on March 15 with the April 2010 issue. Cosmopolitan Vietnam will initially be distributed in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, the Cosmo parent Hearst Magazines International (HMI) said.
