There are no active tropical storms approaching Vietnam in the NW Pacific as of Nov 14, 2011. May-Nov is “Typhoon Season.” On average, there are 27 typhoons each season. This year, only 5 of the 34 tropical storms in the 2011 NW Pacific Typhoon Season have landed in Vietnam to date.

Outlines of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement Negotiators of the nine TPP countries will meet in early December to schedule additional negotiating rounds. Five defining that will make TPP a landmark, 21st-century trade agreement, setting a new standard for global trade and incorporating next-generation issues that will boost the competitiveness of TPP countries in the global economy.

The United States in the Trans-Pacific Partnership As a group, TPP countries are the fourth largest goods and services export market of the United States. U.S. goods exports to the broader Asia-Pacific totaled $ 775 billion in 2010, a 25.5 percent increase over 2009 and equal to 61 percent of total U.S. goods exports to the world. U.S. exports of agricultural products to the region totaled $ 83 billion in 2010 and accounted for 72 percent of total U.S. agricultural exports to the world. U.S. private services exports totaled $ 177 billion in 2009 (latest data available), 37 percent of total U.S. private services exports to the world. America’s small- and medium-sized enterprises alone exported $ 171 billion to the Asia-Pacific in 2009 (latest data available).
Japan intends to join the Trans-Pacific Partnership: PM Yoshihiko Noda “I have decided to enter into consultations toward participating in the TPP negotiations with the countries concerned, on the occasion of the APEC Economic Leaders Meeting which I will be attending from tomorrow. To be sure, I am fully aware that while the TPP has large benefits, numerous concerns have also been spelled out.”
