An specializes in providing guidance to both multinational corporations and local businesses on designing tax-efficient structures for inbound investments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing tax strategies. She is skilled in developing tailored solutions that align with local regulations and international best practices. An holds an MBA from the University of Hawai’i Shidler College of Business, USA, and is an active member of the Vietnam Tax Consultant Association (VTCA), the Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors (VAA), and CPA Australia. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Tax & Customs Committee at AmCham Vietnam. |
![]() Tax Partner, Deloitte Vietnam Thang has more than 16 years working in tax practice, he has deep knowledge in tax compliance, tax advice, tax controversy, tax treaty and strong experience working with Vietnamese authorities (i.e., General Department of Taxation, local tax Departments, construction authorities, licensing authorities, customs authorities, etc.). With diverse experiences working with international companies, Thang has built a great set of skills and working experiences on serving big accounts to support them in achieving business plans in Vietnam. He continues assisting various foreign direct investments in Vietnam and Vietnamese companies to comply with international standards. Thang has served and continuously supported numerous of clients in energy, manufacturing, trading, construction, real estate, banking, etc. in and soon to be in Vietnam with day-to-day operations and tax and administrative obstacles during their time of investment. |
![]() Tax Director, Deloitte Vietnam Ngoc has over 15 years of experience providing Global Employee Services (GES) in Vietnam, specializing in Personal Income Tax and Payroll for key Deloitte clients. Her expertise spans industries such as Oil & Gas, Banking, FMCG, Financial Consulting, Healthcare, and IT. Ngoc is known for her ability to resolve complex tax matters and build strong relationships with tax authorities, which helps clients develop effective tax strategies and address challenging tax positions. Her advice on personal income tax and executive tax planning has earned her client praise, resulting in significant tax savings for both companies and their employees. Ngoc is also a key member of Deloitte Vietnam’s core-controversy team. In addition to her client work, Ngoc frequently speaks at Deloitte Vietnam events, providing updates and training on tax and labor issues. She holds a BA (HONS) in Business and Human Resource Management from the University of Portsmouth and is pursuing an ACCA qualification. Ngoc is also a member of the Vietnam Institute of Directors, having completed the Director Certification Program. She has worked on a wide range of transfer pricing assignments, including compliance, advisory, audit defense, and Advance Pricing Agreements (APA) under Vietnamese regulations, OECD guidelines, and BEPS. Phuong has successfully advised clients and negotiated with tax authorities to resolve transfer pricing adjustments. She has expertise in developing transfer pricing policies for cost allocations, intra-group services, and intangible assets for multinational companies. Her industry experience includes sectors such as education, pharmaceuticals, fund management, insurance, banking, real estate, consumer goods, electronics, logistics, garments, and services. |
