Event Description
Join us for an exclusive opportunity to gain unique perspectives on global tax developments from Scott Levine, Tax Partner at Baker McKenzie’s Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Levine will be in Ho Chi Minh City on 15–16 January to share expert insights on international tax policy, incentives, and regulatory trends that are shaping strategic business decisions worldwide—essential knowledge for organizations navigating complex cross-border challenges.
Mr. Levine will also address critical tax considerations for U.S. investors in Vietnam, offering practical guidance to help businesses stay ahead in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Levine most recently served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Tax Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where he led the Office of Tax Policy’s work on international tax matters, including U.S. international tax regulations, bilateral treaty negotiations, and OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework discussions on BEPS (Pillar 1 and Pillar 2).

Scott Levine
Partner, Baker & McKenzie LLP Washington, DC Scott Levine is a partner in Baker McKenzie’s Tax Practice Group, based in the Firm’s DC office. Practice Focus Scott has significant experience advising multinational companies on the tax aspects of corporate transactions, including cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs and other divestitures, restructurings, financing and joint ventures. He has negotiated private letter rulings with the Internal Revenue Service in the corporate, international, financial instruments and energy tax credit areas. |
