Event Description
The digital transformation of financial services in Vietnam and ASEAN has created new opportunities for innovation, competition, and financial inclusion. But it also poses risks to consumer protection and market integrity, as well as vulnerabilities to money laundering, cybercrime, and terrorism finance. This workshop aims explore the balance of innovation and regulation of financial technology (fintech) in Vietnam and its lessons for the broader ASEAN region, featuring participants from the State Bank of Vietnam, the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City in addition to the private sector.
This workshop will be held in at the New World Hotel but will also have a remote participation option via Zoom.
