
Quynh Chi Trinh
Country Manager, Clime Capital
Quynh Chi Trinh is Clime Capital’s country manager for Vietnam, responsible for market landscaping, identifying optimal opportunities for SEACEF investment and building relationships with developers and companies leading the clean energy transition.
Chi is a recognized expert on renewable energy and the Vietnamese power market. Over the last five years, she has been involved intensively in the development of the renewable energy sector in Vietnam, including both regulatory and investment aspects. Prior to Clime Capital, Chi was an advisor to Clean Energy Investment Accelerator Vietnam where she worked with commercial and industrial energy buyers, investors and developers to explore and exploit clean energy investment opportunities and to promote project implementation in the market. Previously, Chi focused on policy and regulatory advisory to the Ministry of Industry and Trade on Renewable Energy market development through her role with the GIZ Energy Support Programme Vietnam, where she was responsible for various studies and policy recommendations such as “Auctioning Mechanism for Wind Power in Vietnam”; “Forecasting System for Wind Power in Vietnam” and “Revision of Feed-in-tariff for Solar PV in Viet Nam applicable post June 2019”.
Chi holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium), an MSc in Economics, Technology and Territory from Université Paris-Sud (France) and an MSc in Engineering and Policy Analysis from Delft University of Technology (the Netherlands). In addition to her knowledge of the power sector, Chi also has expertise and experience in various environmental projects in Vietnam as well as through her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Technology from Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
