WHAT MAKES US HAPPY?

According to the latest research study by Aetna International “Expatriate mental health: Breaking the silence and ending the stigma”, Mental health is a growing issue for expat workers, their employers, and those relocating independently across the globe. Depression emerged as the most prevalent condition (50 percent prevalence increase), followed by anxiety (28 percent prevalence increase), and women between the ages of 30 and 49 were the most likely to seek treatment.

There’s power in knowing

Everyone gets sad, anxious or distracted at times. But if these feelings keep up, or you just want a mental check-in. You may have heard about some mental health conditions, like bipolar disorder or autism, but aren’t 100% sure what they are. Individuals are becoming more actively seek support for their mental health needs, but some cannot recognize that they are having mental issues themselves.

Join our panellists Dr Miguel, a psychiatrist from Family Medical Practice to learn more about various mental health issues and their impact on our physical well-being. Understand the signs and symptoms, as well as the treatments available.

Listen in to our industry experts Mr Choo Kum Seng, VP of Business Solutions at Workplace Options and Mr Bill Watson, CEO of Coats Phong Phu and Mrs. Diana Watson, Honorary Chairwoman of Saigon Summer Ball of Saigon Children’s Charity CIO sharing with us the simple steps you can take that can help yourself, your loved ones & our wider community and the active role of employers play in supporting employee mental health.
