Following the Sep 6 Conference on Customs and Trade Logistics, AmCham companies’ representatives are invited to a private, “by invitation only” Roundtable Discussion Lunch with Ms. Ana Guevara, USAID Senior Advisor — Trade. The Discussion Topic is “Vietnam’s Customs and Trade Facilitation: Opportunities and Challenges.”
With global responsibilities for guiding USAID’s trade facilitation technical assistance programs, Ms. Guevara would like to understand the situation in Vietnam, hear about your experiences with Customs and your views on the opportunities and challenges in implementing the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement.

Ana M. Guevara, USAID Senior Advisor – Trade, is a respected figure in both government and business sectors with extensive experience in international trade, transportation, and development. She was formerly vice president at two Fortune 50 companies, U.S. alternate executive director to the World Bank Group, deputy assistant secretary of trade for service industries at the U.S. Department of Commerce, and an active member of nonprofit executive boards. Her track record of achievement is a result of optimizing the nexus of international policy and business with social impact through strategic partnerships. Multilingual, she has led numerous successful teams in multicultural situations. She has steered the formulation of tactical public policy and mediated before international organizations and government officials at the highest levels. She is a seasoned public speaker with media and at public events. She received her B.A. in public and international affairs from the George Washington University.
