AmCham “Giving Thanks” Dinner – An Evening to Celebrate Excellence in Community Impact!

Please join us to express thanks for all the blessings we enjoy here in Vietnam, and celebrate Thanksgiving traditions, together with family, friends, and colleagues. Thanksgiving is an annual holiday that Americans celebrate with family and friends on the fourth Thursday in November (this year November 23) to give thanks for the harvest and good fortune we have enjoyed throughout the year.

At our 2023 “Giving Thanks” Dinner, we will honor and recognize AmCham member companies which have demonstrated ESG Impact. Please find more details on our ESG Impact Showcase Program below.

Enjoy a delicious traditional Thanksgiving dinner with fellow AmCham Vietnam members and friends, and celebrate with senior representatives of the U.S. and Vietnamese government. 2023 AmCham Vietnam ESG Impact Showcase

To honor and recognize excellence in ESG (environmental, social, governance) initiatives and to celebrate AmCham members’ special contributions to positive impact in Vietnam in 2023, AmCham in HCMC is organizing the 2023 AmCham Vietnam ESG Impact Showcase.

Among AmCham in HCMC’s 500+ member companies and organizations, many have started remarkable journeys towards sustainability, are measuring their environmental and social impact, and improving corporate governance standards in the communities where they work. While striving for economic success and financial sustainability, these members are integrating ESG as part of their long-term business strategy, nurturing an ecosystem for responsible business practices in Vietnam.

AmCham is now seeking applications from members for our 2023 ESG Impact Showcase which will be presented at the annual “Giving Thanks” Dinner, on November 21, 2023.

Step 1: Read through the rest of this entry briefing document for more information on the eligibility criteria and timeline.
Step 2: Decide which impactful ESG initiative or project in Vietnam you would like to highlight.
Step 3: Fill in the online application form. Note: The deadline to submit your online application is COB, Thursday, November 9, 2023.

ESG IMPACT SHOWCASE OBJECTIVES

Recognize member companies and organizations for their excellence in positive impact in Vietnam
Increase public awareness about ESG among business communities in Vietnam
Provide an annual platform for showing gratitude and appreciation for member company contributions in Vietnam at the Annual “Giving Thanks” Dinner.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible, you must fulfill the following criteria and complete the online application in full and on time.

1. General Applicant Criteria

Be a current Member of AmCham Vietnam (2023)
Be transparent and willing to validate and showcase best practices and significant impact in your awards application.

2. Sectors (4)

Retail, Manufacturing, and Industry
Banking, Finance, and Services
SME, Startup, and Social Enterprise
INGO/Nonprofit

3. Fill out the application form where you will be asked to share clear and specific goals, targets, and measurable outcomes of the ESG strategy, initiative, or solution implemented in Vietnam in the application form.

Below is a brief timeline of the ESG Impact Showcase application and selection process:

ESG COMMITTEE REVIEW

AmCham’s ESG Committee is responsible for organizing the 2023 ESG Impact.
Assessments and decisions on which member companies/organizations will be selected for the ESG Impact Showcase will be made by a volunteer panel from AmCham’s ESG Committee.
Selected companies and organizations for recognition in the ESG Impact Showcase will be contacted with instructions on how to prepare a short presentation during the AmCham “Giving Thanks” Dinner.
