Event Description

“Global companies are rushing to seek alternative bases for investment, operations and manufacturing, with the U.S. and China tangled in a prolonged trade fight, such that it appears this may be Vietnam’s time to shine. Yet, it is becoming increasingly clear that it may be years, if ever, before Vietnam and other aspiring manufacturing destinations in Southeast Asia are ready to replace China as the world’s factory floor.”

FDI into Vietnam is still good. Investors who attempt to jump into Vietnam for fast solutions to avoid tariffs from the U.S. – China trade war may be disappointed. Vietnam like other regional alternatives may not be able to support such sudden increases. However, investors who look into Vietnam as an alternative solution to diversify their manufacturing outside China can find Vietnam is a good destination.

There are so many comments from different perspectives, please take a close look on what is going on.
