Fundraising Campaign “Our Hearts to Central Vietnam”

The central region of Vietnam had already suffered several days of severe flooding and mudsliding which caused loss on life and property.

Our thoughts and our hearts are with those in the Central Region. AmCham Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh City & Da Nang, in partnership with VinaCapital Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) non governmental organization chartered in the USA and licensed in Vietnam, would like to call for the donations of our members and friends to contribute to the campaign “Our Hearts to Central Vietnam” to provide emergency disaster relief response to the people in Central Vietnam, as well as contribute to the process of rebuilding.

In Stage I, the funds raised will be used to equip emergency relief packages including basic necessities and medicines, water, foods, milk for children, and hygiene products for children and women, to be promptly delivered to the people of 5 provinces of Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, and Quang Nam. The VinaCapital Foundation team that is on the ground there now will work directly with our local partners in the provinces to ensure that the support reaches the people in most need quickly.
VinaCapital Foundation is uniquely positioned to bring assistance in these affected provinces and districts since deep, strong relationships with government agencies and People’s Committees at all levels have been developed over the years via medical, education and other community strengthening programs. Many of the schools and medical facilities affected were built, trained or furnished by VCF personnel and programs. The on-site VCF Central Vietnam Action Team resides in these provinces, has excellent contacts and has professional as well as personal motivation.
The entire amount of your donations will go directly to this emergency relief and rebuild for Central Vietnam project.
