Event Description
Travel to Vietnam has become infinitely more complicated, due to Decree 152, stricter enforcement of existing regulations, changing interpretations, and new quarantine procedures. Join this discussion with a panel of experts to learn how to plan for travel (and return) of foreign experts and/or family members to Vietnam.
This session will cover everything from selecting an advisor or travel agent to DIY, booking flights, choosing a quarantine facility, maintaining your sanity in quarantine; and many other nitty gritty practical tips. Join this event if you are a compassionate, caring HR director or someone expecting to travel (or return) to Vietnam soon.

Jack Nguyen (CPA, CA Canada, CPA Vietnam) Partner, Mazars in Vietnam Jack has nearly 25 years of international executive accounting, finance and investments experience, having worked in Canada, the United States and Vietnam. Jack’s experience includes performing statutory audits in Vietnam, Canada and United States, accounting and payroll outsourcing, corporate secretarial, SOX 404 and internal audits, compliance, process improvements, investor relations, corporate finance, planning and forecasting, tax and cash management. Jack started his career working for 12 years at Big 4 accounting firms in Canada, the United States and Vietnam. Jack has spent the last 8 years working in Vietnam. Prior to joining for Mazars, Jack was the Managing Director and Country Head for TMF Group, one of the biggest Business Process Outsourcing company in the world. Prior to that, Jack was the Fund CFO for VinaCapital, one of the leading investment firms in Vietnam with USD1.6 billion assets under management. Jack obtained his (Honors) Bachelor of Arts, Chartered Accountancy Studies at the University of Waterloo, Canada. He also holds Canadian CPA, CA and Vietnam CPA professional designations. |

Catherine Barbeoc’h
General Manager, Holiday Inn & Suites Saigon Airport Since graduating from her MBA in Hospitality Management from ESSEC Business School in 2007, Catherine has worked in Singapore, Sydney and Hanoi with international branded hotels such as Shangri La, Sofitel and Nikko. Catherine joined IHG in August 2015 in Singapore before taking a break to give birth to her son Killian in 2017. She joined back IHG in August 2018 as number 2 for the pre-opening of the Holiday Inn & Suites Saigon Airport. Catherine has been promoted to General Manager in January 2021. The hotel is now operating as a quarantine facility. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling with Killian (domestically at the moment!), cooking and watching comedies and crime shows. |
Paul Hui
Chairman of West Coast Healthcare/Dental, Administrator of Facebook Group “Post COVID Return to Vietnam”, and Frequent Traveler Paul is the chairman of the Westcoast Healthcare Group and has been in Vietnam since 1996. Currently, he splits his time between Canada and Vietnam. He has traveled back and forth between Vietnam and Canada four times already since the COVID pandemic and will be on his 5th trip back to Canada during this webinar. Paul is also the Administrator of a Facebook group, “Post COVID Return to Vietnam”, which provides information for those who want to return to Vietnam soon. |
Mary Tarnowka
