Join this virtual event (free to AmCham Vietnam members) to learn more about infrastructure opportunities in the Indo-Pacific region, specifically development of a U.S. Global Infrastructure Initiative. The American Association of the Indo-Pacific (AAIP), in collaboration with AmCham Singapore, invites the business community to the release of an AAIP report that focuses on bringing in the U.S. private sector to support the development of the U.S. Global Infrastructure Initiative (GII) in the Indo-Pacific region, including with a secretariat in Singapore. Speakers include Commerce Secretary Gina Raimundo and U.S. Ambassador to Singapore Jonathan Kaplan.
The recent announcement that Singapore has formally joined the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) discussions further underscores the importance of Singapore’s role in the GII. AAIP’s report on the GII makes the bold recommendation of establishing a GII Indo-Pacific secretariat in Singapore to help locate and craft bankable projects and advise on the strategic development of funds, guarantees, and technical support to maximize development impact.
Join AmCham Singapore and AAIP and learn about the potential of the GII, discuss the main recommendations in the AAIP report, and explore the four GII areas of focus and what those could mean for U.S. businesses and investors in the region.
Complimentary participation for AmCham Vietnam members. Please register for the event as a nonmember of AmCham Singapore, then choose AmCham Vietnam in the dropdown menu.
